In plain words
You are gripping something—a relationship, a body, a role, a certainty about tomorrow—as if your life depends on holding it forever, and the terror of losing it is eating you alive. Krishna says: everything you love, everything you are, is already moving through a cycle larger than your control, and that cycle is not punishment—it's the pulse of something sacred. The only way out of this suffocation is to know, deeply, that you were never meant to own what passes through your hands; you were meant to love it, tend it, and let it return.
Word by Word
All beings emerge from Krishna's primordial energy at the dawn of creation and dissolve back into it at the cycle's end—not as loss, but as return to the source. This eternal rhythm reveals that nothing you cling to is truly separate from the divine; all apparent separation is temporary manifestation.
Understanding this dissolves the illusion of permanent ownership and control, freeing you to act with wisdom rather than grasping. In modern life, this means releasing the anxiety that comes from believing you must permanently protect or possess—your work, relationships, even your body are temporary expressions of something eternal moving through you.
