यं यं वापि स्मरन्भावं त्यजत्यन्ते कलेवरम्। तं तमेवैति कौन्तेय सदा तद्भावभावितः।।8.6।।

Word by Word
Whatever state of being you dwell in at the moment of death—that is where your consciousness flows, drawn by the magnetism of your habitual thought and devotion. Krishna reveals the immutable law: consciousness follows the frequency it has cultivated through life.
This is not punishment or reward, but the natural trajectory of a mind that has been shaped by its own contemplation. If you wish to know where you are going, observe what you are remembering now—for that remembrance is already weaving your destination.
