Chapter 7 · Verse 14 · Gyaan Vigyana Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 7.14
Sanskrit
दैवी ह्येषा गुणमयी मम माया दुरत्यया। मामेव ये प्रपद्यन्ते मायामेतां तरन्ति ते।।7.14।।
Transliteration
daivī hyeṣhā guṇa-mayī mama māyā duratyayā mām eva ye prapadyante māyām etāṁ taranti te
Word by Word
Krishna reveals the ultimate truth: His creative power, Maya, is divine and nearly impossible to transcend through effort alone—yet it becomes transparent the moment you turn toward Him with genuine surrender. This is not passivity but the deepest activation of your being, a shift from struggling against the current to swimming with it.
In our modern lives, this means recognizing that all our striving, planning, and self-improvement can only take us so far; true liberation comes when we stop wrestling with circumstance and instead align our deepest intention with the infinite.
