Simplified Perspective

Krishna teaches that yoga is not escape from life, but return to our authentic nature through disciplined inward turning. The mind becomes one-pointed not through force, but through patient, loving intention—like a lamp flame steadying in still air.

When you sit with sincere posture and gather your scattered energy back home to yourself, purification happens naturally, as toxins leave water when it becomes still. In our distracted age, this verse invites you to claim even ten minutes of seated silence as an act of profound self-love and spiritual rebellion.
