Transliteration
yogī yuñjīta satatam ātmānaṁ rahasi sthitaḥ ekākī yata-chittātmā nirāśhīr aparigrahaḥ
Word by Word
Krishna speaks here of the yogi as one who withdraws from the world's noise not in escape, but in sacred purpose—alone with the Self, the mind steady as a flame protected from wind. The Vedantic understanding is that such solitude is not loneliness but union; it is the soul recognizing itself beyond all possession and desire.
In our connected age, this teaches us that true meditation happens not by abandoning life, but by learning to sit with ourselves, free from the hunger for approval, accumulation, and constant stimulation.
