Transliteration
sañjaya uvācha evam-uktvā hṛiṣhīkeśhaṁ guḍākeśhaḥ parantapa na yotsya iti govindam uktvā tūṣhṇīṁ babhūva ha
Word by Word
Arjuna's declaration of refusal marks the moment when the ego, believing itself to be the doer and protector, attempts to withdraw from its duty—yet this very silence that follows is pregnant with the possibility of transformation. In that hush, the spiritual journey truly begins, for it is only when the small self exhausts its arguments that the Self becomes audible.
When we too reach such moments of inner silence, stripped of our justifications and certainties, we open ourselves to receive wisdom that no amount of thinking could provide.
