Simplified Perspective

This verse reveals the anatomy of spiritual ruin—a cascading descent that begins not with evil action, but with the first spark of anger. The Vedantic seers understood that anger clouds our discriminative power, the buddhi that connects us to our true nature, and once that light dims, memory of our essential Self scatters like ash in wind.

When we lose touch with who we truly are, we lose everything that matters. In our modern rush, we often mistake emotional reactivity for strength; this verse invites us to recognize anger as the first link in a chain of self-betrayal.
