Transliteration
nehābhikrama-nāśho ’sti pratyavāyo na vidyate svalpam apyasya dharmasya trāyate mahato bhayāt
Word by Word
This verse dissolves the deepest fear of the spiritual aspirant: that effort on the path might be wasted, that sincerity might go unrewarded. Krishna tells us that even the smallest genuine step toward dharma—toward right living and truth-seeking—is never lost; it carries forward across lifetimes, protecting us from the greatest dangers of ignorance and spiritual darkness.
No sincere effort ever vanishes in this universe; every meditation, every act of integrity, every moment of remembrance compounds like invisible capital in the soul's eternal account. Begin where you are, with what little you can offer, knowing that consistency matters far more than perfection.
