Bhagavad Gita 2.1
Sanskrit
Transliteration
sañjaya uvācha taṁ tathā kṛipayāviṣhṭamaśhru pūrṇākulekṣhaṇam viṣhīdantamidaṁ vākyam uvācha madhusūdanaḥ
Word by Word
In this opening moment, Sanjaya witnesses Arjuna's complete dissolution—not weakness, but the breaking open of a human heart before truth. Krishna's response to this rawness is not dismissal but engagement: the Lord meets Arjuna in his tears, seeing that genuine crisis is often the doorway to transformation.
When our defenses crumble and our eyes fill with the reality of our condition, we become capable of receiving wisdom that our armored egos could never hear.
