Transliteration

chintām aparimeyāṁ cha pralayāntām upāśhritāḥ kāmopabhoga-paramā etāvad iti niśhchitāḥ

Word by Word

chintām anxieties
aparimeyām endless
cha and
pralaya-antām until death
upāśhritāḥ taking refuge
kāma-upabhoga gratification of desires
paramāḥ the purpose of life
etāvat still
iti thus
niśhchitāḥ with complete assurance
Simplified Perspective

Sri Krishna reveals here the asura-consciousness: a mind trapped in endless worry and desire, convinced that sensory pleasure is life's only purpose, grasping frantically until death comes. The divine sees through this delusion—these endless anxieties are not your nature, but acquired patterns of ignorance.

When you recognize that your deepest hunger is for the eternal, not the temporary, you step out of this prison and into freedom.
