Word by Word
Arjuna has crossed a threshold where worldly victory loses its meaning. In this moment of profound disillusionment, he reveals the deepest longing beneath all seeking: the hunger is not for kingdoms or pleasure, but for truth and right action.
When the mind finally sees through the veil of ambition, it discovers that liberation begins not in gaining more, but in releasing the grip of what we thought we wanted. In our own lives, this verse invites us to ask: what am I truly seeking beneath my desires, and is it worth the cost to my conscience?
