Transliteration

pāñchajanyaṁ hṛiṣhīkeśho devadattaṁ dhanañjayaḥ pauṇḍraṁ dadhmau mahā-śhaṅkhaṁ bhīma-karmā vṛikodaraḥ

Word by Word

pāñchajanyam the conch shell named Panchajanya
hṛiṣhīka-īśhaḥ Shree Krishna, the Lord of the mind and senses
devadattam the conch shell named Devadutta
dhanam-jayaḥ Arjun, the winner of wealth
pauṇḍram the conch named Paundra
dadhmau blew
mahā-śhaṅkham mighty conch
bhīma-karmā one who performs herculean tasks
vṛika-udaraḥ Bheem, the voracious eater
Simplified Perspective

The conch shells of the Pandavas sound forth not as instruments of aggression, but as the clarion call of dharma itself—each warrior announcing his readiness to defend righteousness, to uphold the cosmic order. Krishna, the Lord of the senses, sounds Panchajanya first, sanctifying the battle with divine intention; Arjuna and Bhima follow, their conches proclaiming that the seeker who has surrendered to truth need not fear the consequence of righteous action.

When you face your own Kurukshetra—the inner battlefield of choice and consequence—sound your own conch: speak your truth, claim your purpose, and trust that aligned action carries the blessing of the Divine.
