Bhagavad Gita 9.3

अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परन्तप। अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि।।9.3।।
Transliteration
aśhraddadhānāḥ puruṣhā dharmasyāsya parantapa aprāpya māṁ nivartante mṛityu-samsāra-vartmani
In plain words
You're stuck because you've stopped trusting—in yourself, in life, in anything larger than your fear. When doubt hardens into certainty that nothing will work, that's when you truly get trapped, cycling through the same pain and paralysis. Krishna says: the bridge out exists, but you have to be willing to step onto it, to believe that something in you knows the way even when your mind doesn't.

Without faith, the human spirit cannot cross the threshold that separates the temporal from the eternal—dharma becomes mere ritual, and the soul remains locked in the cycle of death and rebirth. When we approach Krishna's teachings with skepticism or indifference, we deny ourselves the bridge to liberation itself.
Faith here is not blind belief, but the courage to trust that consciousness exists beyond our small, defended selves. In modern life, this means recognizing that our greatest breakthroughs come not from endless intellectual questioning, but from the willingness to believe in something larger than our present understanding.
