Chapter 7 · Verse 8 · Gyaan Vigyana Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 7.8
Sanskrit
रसोऽहमप्सु कौन्तेय प्रभास्मि शशिसूर्ययोः। प्रणवः सर्ववेदेषु शब्दः खे पौरुषं नृषु।।7.8।।
Transliteration
raso ’ham apsu kaunteya prabhāsmi śhaśhi-sūryayoḥ praṇavaḥ sarva-vedeṣhu śhabdaḥ khe pauruṣhaṁ nṛiṣhu
Word by Word
Krishna reveals himself as the essence flowing through all creation—the taste in water that quenches, the light in sun and moon that illuminates, the sacred Om vibrating through all knowledge, the vital force animating human strength. This is not metaphor but direct transmission: the divine is not distant but intimately woven into every sensation, every sound, every capability you experience.
When you taste water's sweetness or feel your own vitality rising, you are tasting Krishna himself—and recognizing this transforms how you move through the world, from unconscious consumption to conscious communion.
