Chapter 6 · Verse 27 · Dhyana Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 6.27
Sanskrit
प्रशान्तमनसं ह्येनं योगिनं सुखमुत्तमम्। उपैति शान्तरजसं ब्रह्मभूतमकल्मषम्।।6.27।।
Transliteration
praśhānta-manasaṁ hyenaṁ yoginaṁ sukham uttamam upaiti śhānta-rajasaṁ brahma-bhūtam akalmaṣham
Word by Word
When the mind becomes still as a lake at dawn, the yogi enters a state beyond all restlessness—this is the highest bliss Krishna speaks of, a consciousness so purified it mirrors the Divine itself. The passions lose their grip, the ego dissolves, and what remains is luminous, sinless awareness.
In our distracted modern lives, even moments of genuine inner quiet—when you stop seeking and simply rest in what you are—reveal this truth: peace is not something to acquire, but the natural radiance of an unclouded mind.
