this
upamā analogy
smṛitā is considered
yoginaḥ of a yogi

Simplified Perspective

The lamp in a windless place burns with unwavering flame—this is the image Krishna offers for the yogi's mind in meditation. When your consciousness is protected from the gusts of desire, distraction, and doubt, it rests in its own luminous nature, steady and unshakeable.

This steadiness is not a rigid control but a natural outcome of turning your attention inward with reverence and discipline. In your daily life, notice how your mind flickers when exposed to the winds of busyness and craving—the practice is to create an inner sanctuary where your deepest awareness can burn clear.
