Chapter 6 · Verse 15 · Dhyana Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 6.15
Sanskrit
युञ्जन्नेवं सदाऽऽत्मानं योगी नियतमानसः। शान्तिं निर्वाणपरमां मत्संस्थामधिगच्छति।।6.15।।
Transliteration
yuñjann evaṁ sadātmānaṁ yogī niyata-mānasaḥ śhantiṁ nirvāṇa-paramāṁ mat-sansthām adhigachchhati
Word by Word
The yogi who continuously absorbs the mind in God—keeping it steady, disciplined, unwavering—enters into the supreme peace that transcends all bondage. This is not a distant heaven, but the living presence of the Divine itself, realized within.
When you stop fragmenting your attention across countless desires and anchor it instead in the unchanging Self, the restlessness that defines human suffering naturally dissolves. Even five minutes of genuine mental focus on the sacred can rewire your nervous system and remind you that peace is not something you achieve—it is what remains when the mind becomes still.
