Simplified Perspective

When the senses no longer pull you outward into the world's endless appetite, you discover an inner wellspring of joy that needs nothing external to sustain it. This is the liberation Kṛṣṇa speaks of—not rejection of life, but freedom from the tyranny of wanting.

That person who has steadied themselves in this inner communion experiences a happiness that never depletes, never disappoints, never abandons them. In modern life, this means learning to find contentment within before chasing the next achievement, relationship, or possession.
