compassionate Karma & Action Jnana & Wisdom Attachment & Letting Go

Sanskrit

प्रकृतेर्गुणसम्मूढाः सज्जन्ते गुणकर्मसु। तानकृत्स्नविदो मन्दान्कृत्स्नविन्न विचालयेत्।।3.29।।

Transliteration

prakṛiter guṇa-sammūḍhāḥ sajjante guṇa-karmasu tān akṛitsna-vido mandān kṛitsna-vin na vichālayet

Word by Word

prakṛiteḥ of material nature
guṇa by the modes of material nature
sammūḍhāḥ deluded
sajjante become attached
guṇa-karmasu to results of actions
tān those
akṛitsna-vidaḥ persons without knowledge
mandān the ignorant
kṛitsna-vit persons with knowledge
na vichālayet should not unsettle
Simplified Perspective

Those caught in the web of the three gunas—lost in the dance of nature's modes—cling desperately to the fruits of their actions, mistaking the shadow-play for reality. The wise one, anchored in complete knowledge, sees through this delusion and holds the ignorant with compassion rather than judgment.

In your own life, when you observe others trapped in results-chasing and status-seeking, remember that wisdom is not a weapon to wield but a light that gradually dissolves darkness—your steadiness in truth becomes their silent teacher.
