Word by Word
The true renunciate, Sri Krishna teaches, is not one who merely abandons action but one who has transcended the emotional polarities that bind us—neither recoiling from difficulty nor grasping at comfort. This equanimity arises naturally when the mind dwells in sattva, the clarity of truth, and all doubts about the self dissolve.
In modern life, this means performing your duties with full presence and skill, yet remaining inwardly free from the exhausting cycle of approval-seeking and blame-avoidance that fragmentizes your consciousness.
