Simplified Perspective

This verse reveals the asura's greatest blindness: the illusion of separation from the Divine, the belief that wealth and status make one exempt from life's laws. The asura mistakes temporary possessions for permanent identity, forgetting that all belongs to the eternal Self.

When we identify with our bank accounts, our achievements, our family name—rather than the witnessing consciousness within—we construct a prison of endless wanting that inevitably collapses into suffering.
