Simplified Perspective

This verse unveils the ultimate freedom that lies at the heart of existence: the eternal Self is the witness of all action, untouched by the machinery of material nature. When you realize that prakṛiti—the creative force of the universe—performs all actions through bodies and minds, while your true consciousness stands as the actionless observer, you cross from suffering into peace.

In modern life, this means recognizing that your anxieties about outcomes, your sense of personal responsibility for results, and your ego's need to control—these are all movements of nature, not your true nature.
