Simplified Perspective

Krishna begins the great teaching on discrimination by pointing us to the most intimate mystery: your own body. The field—kṣhetra—is not merely flesh and bone, but the entire domain of nature, sensation, and becoming.

The knower—kṣhetra-jña—is the witness consciousness that observes this field without being touched by it. To awaken to this distinction is to step out of confusion into clarity.

In your daily life, notice the difference between the sensations and thoughts arising in you, and the aware presence that simply knows them.
