Word by Word

kirīṭinam adorned with a crown
gadinam with club
chakriṇam with discs
cha and
tejaḥ-rāśhim abode of splendor
sarvataḥ everywhere
dīpti-mantam shining
paśhyāmi I see
tvām you
durnirīkṣhyam difficult to look upon
samantāt in all directions
dīpta-anala blazing fire
arka like the sun
dyutim effulgence
aprameyam immeasurable
Simplified Perspective

Arjuna's vision pierces the veil of form itself—he beholds Krishna not as a figure seated before him, but as the infinite, radiant source from which all existence flows. The crown, the weapons, the blazing light are not decorations but revelations of divine nature beyond human comprehension.

When we glimpse the sacred dimension underlying ordinary reality through meditation or genuine service, we taste what Arjuna tastes here—a humbling recognition that the divine encompasses and transcends everything we thought we knew.
