द्यूतं छलयतामस्मि तेजस्तेजस्विनामहम्। जयोऽस्मि व्यवसायोऽस्मि सत्त्वं सत्त्ववतामहम्।।10.36।।
Transliteration
dyūtaṁ chhalayatām asmi tejas tejasvinām aham jayo ’smi vyavasāyo ’smi sattvaṁ sattvavatām aham
In plain words
You're looking at the betrayal, the cunning, the ambition that hurt you—and you're asking how God could allow such things to exist. Krishna says: the Divine isn't blind to the darkness in this world or in people; He sees it all, knows it all, and is present even in the forces that wound you. This doesn't excuse what was done to you. It means you don't have to carry the burden of hating those forces alone—and you don't have to become them to survive.

Krishna reveals that He is present not only in what is noble and virtuous, but also in the cunning of cheaters and the victory of the ambitious—He dwells in all expressions of power, whether righteous or unrighteous. This is not an endorsement of deceit, but a profound teaching that the Divine consciousness pervades all states of being, all manifestations of strength and will.
The modern seeker must understand that recognizing God's presence everywhere—in victory and in the shrewdness of the world—liberates us from false morality and awakens us to transcendent responsibility.
