Bhagavad Gita 6.39
Sanskrit
एतन्मे संशयं कृष्ण छेत्तुमर्हस्यशेषतः। त्वदन्यः संशयस्यास्य छेत्ता न ह्युपपद्यते।।6.39।।
Transliteration

Word by Word
Arjuna has reached the threshold where intellect alone cannot carry him further—his doubt has become too subtle, too woven into the fabric of his being. He recognizes what the Upanishads teach: that only the Guru, the awakened consciousness, can cut through the knots of confusion that the mind creates.
This is not weakness but wisdom—knowing when to surrender the isolated ego-mind to a teacher who embodies Truth. In our own spiritual lives, we must recognize when our endless self-help and self-analysis become obstacles, and when the grace of a living teaching—whether through a guide, a sacred text, or direct insight—becomes the only doorway to freedom.
