परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम्। धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय संभवामि युगे युगे।।4.8।।

paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṁ vināśhāya cha duṣhkṛitām dharma-sansthāpanārthāya sambhavāmi yuge yuge
In plain words
You may feel powerless against the wrongdoing around you—in your marriage, in the world, in yourself—but Krishna says the universe is not neutral and you are not alone in protecting what matters. When you stand for truth and goodness, even in small ways, you become part of something larger than your own struggle; the divine itself works through those who refuse to compromise their integrity. Your anger at injustice, your refusal to accept lies, your effort to heal—these are not separate from God's work. They are God's work.

Krishna reveals the eternal purpose behind his avatars: to protect those who have surrendered to dharma and to dissolve the weight of wickedness that corrupts the world. This is not punishment born of anger, but the natural law of the universe restoring itself to balance, age after age.
When you align your own actions with truth and righteousness, you become an instrument of that same divine work—protecting what is sacred within yourself and around you, without needing to understand the cosmic machinery.
