Chapter 4 · Verse 39 · Jnana Karma Sanyasa Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 4.39
Sanskrit
श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानं तत्परः संयतेन्द्रियः। ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्तिमचिरेणाधिगच्छति।।4.39।।
Transliteration
śhraddhāvān labhate jñānaṁ tat-paraḥ sanyatendriyaḥ jñānaṁ labdhvā parāṁ śhāntim achireṇādhigachchhati
Word by Word
The faithful seeker who turns all their attention toward truth and governs their senses becomes a vessel for divine knowledge—not as intellectual accumulation, but as direct recognition of their own deepest nature. This jnana is not earned through effort alone, but flowers when the soil of faith, focus, and inner discipline is ready.
When you align your whole being toward what truly matters and quiet the noise of scattered desire, peace arrives not as something distant, but as your own forgotten home.
