Simplified Perspective

Krishna calls Arjuna to mastery of the senses as the first act of spiritual warfare—for the senses are the gateway through which ignorance enters and poisons our discernment. When we control the indryas at their root, we slay the demon of delusion that destroys both knowledge and the direct realization of truth.

In our modern lives, this means recognizing that every scroll, every craving, every reactive moment is a choice point where we either strengthen wisdom or feed the forces that cloud it.
