Sanskrit

ईश्वरः सर्वभूतानां हृद्देशेऽर्जुन तिष्ठति।भ्रामयन्सर्वभूतानि यन्त्रारूढानि मायया।।18.61।।

Transliteration

īśhvaraḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ hṛid-deśhe ‘rjuna tiṣhṭhati bhrāmayan sarva-bhūtāni yantrārūḍhāni māyayā

Word by Word

īśhvaraḥ the Supreme Lord
sarva-bhūtānām in all living being
hṛit-deśhe in the hearts
arjuna Arjun
tiṣhṭhati dwells
bhrāmayan causing to wander
sarva-bhūtāni all living beings
yantra ārūḍhani seated on a machine
māyayā made of the material energy
Simplified Perspective

The Supreme Lord dwells in the heart of every being, the silent witness orchestrating all movement through the dance of maya. You are not the puppet, Arjuna—you are the awareness within the puppet, watching the cosmic machine spin.

When you truly see this, the burden of doing falls away, and you move through life with the grace of one who knows they are held. This recognition transforms your daily struggles from battles of ego into sacred service.
