Simplified Perspective

Krishna now unveils the hidden architecture of existence itself—the field (kṣhetra) and the knower of the field (kṣhetrajna). This verse is the threshold where intellectual understanding becomes direct knowing.

The Lord summarizes the nature of matter, its transformations, their causes, and the supreme consciousness that witnesses all. For the modern seeker caught in endless doing, this teaching offers liberation: when you recognize yourself as the eternal witness rather than the doer of actions, freedom dawns.
