The Sahasrara Mantra, or the 'Aum' mantra, is associated with the Sahasrara or the crown chakra. The crown chakra is the final chakra of all the chakras energy centers residing in different areas of the human body.
The Aum sound activates the crown chakra. The crown chakra is located on top of the head. It is the energy center that powers your brain functions including memory, intelligence, and cognition.
The crown chakra also connects your material intelligence to the immaterial wisdom from the beyond. The literal meaning of 'Sahasrara' in the Sanskrit language is a thousand. However, the notion of Sahasrara represents the idea of infinity.
This chakra is associated with the element of thought. 'Thought' is considered the ultimate pinnacle of humanity. That's because it was 'thought' that brought all the big questions regarding life and existence itself.
In other words, the element of thought became the doorway to the intangible universe beyond the material world. Hence the seventh and final chakra is considered the path to enlightenment.
If the Sahasrara chakra is not in harmony, it can result in a withdrawn state of mind with no focus or purpose.
The Sahasrara mantra is part of the Ancient Chakra Healing Meditation Mantras.
